Prayag Gordy is a rising senior at Rice University studying Statistics and Mathematics. He is an incoming Editor-in-Chief of the Rice Thresher, Rice’s independent student newspaper. Gordy, originally from Takoma Park, Maryland, was selected as a data journalism intern with the Dow Jones News Fund and then joined the Investigative Reporting Workshop. He splits his time between The Accountability Project and the data desk at The Washington Post. When he isn’t writing or coding, Gordy can be found spending time with friends and family, watching baseball (usually the New York Yankees), playing with his dog and exploring the food scene.
