JournalismThe Investigative Reporting Workshop, an independent, nonprofit news organization based at American University, is looking for smart, engaged college students and recent graduates from around the country for internships in the summer of 2022. Positions include researchers/reporters, data journalists, videographers, graphic designers and web producers. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. Preferred majors include journalism, communication, film, public policy, public health, history and economics.
IRW publishes in-depth stories about government and corporate accountability on topics ranging widely from the environment and health to national security and the economy. Partners include The Washington Post, Public Health Watch and others. Here’s a look at our coverage of the last year.
The application deadline has been extended to Friday, March 4, at noon, Eastern Time. Depending on the operating status of American University, internships may be remote, in-person or hybrid.
