We’ve hired and trained nearly 240 students and recent graduates at the Investigative Reporting Workshop. This summer, eight interns are researching and reporting stories related to health and science, police, crime, and sexual abuse and assault. We’re again working with several partner newsrooms.

The intern cohort is based in our newsroom in Washington, D.C., at American University. They bring experience in student media, creating podcasts, and freelancing:

• Jana Cholakovska, Columbia University

• Prayag Gordy, Rice University and our Dow Jones Data Fellow

• Daniella Jimenez, American University

• Hannah Levitan, Tulane University

• Annie Rupertus, Princeton University’s Internships in Civic Service

• Andy Tallman, University of Montana

• Chaya Tong, Emory University

• Julian Wray, University of Michigan

We’ll begin accepting applications for internships for the summer of 2024 in early January.
