Workshop goes mobile

We spent several months working on a new look for our site as more of our readers are viewing us on their phones and tablets. Now mobile users are automatically redirected to mobile pages, and desktop users are automatically directed to desktop pages.

Our team included Matt Blair of PilotLight Studios; Jacob Fenton, our former director of computer-assisted reporting, who is now at the Sunlight Foundation; and Lisa Hill and Eddie Sutton, design consultants.

Newspaper circulation plummets — again

Newspaper circulation plummeted again last year, following the trend of decreased distribution since the early 2000s, according to a new Pew Research Center report released Wednesday.
