A note on the methodology: This research is based on a detailed questionnaire sent by the Investigative Reporting Workshop to 71 organizations, of 110 initially analyzed, based outside the United States. Thirty-seven organizations replied to the survey, and 27 non-U.S. investigative nonprofit reporting centers are included in the final list here. Not all organizations responded to all questions.
