It shines a light on government actions, accounts for public spending and prompts intelligent discussions that lead to informed desicions. Teaching, training and mentoring at San Diego State University's School of Journalism and Media Studies, where the Institute is based, is a dual priority. It underscores the institute's commitment to the next generation of journalists.
