“We’ve never seen anything this bizarre in our lifetimes, where up is down and down is up and everything is in question and nothing is real,” said Lewis, the founder of the Center for Public Integrity and the author of “935 Lies: The Future of Truth and the Decline of America’s Moral Integrity,” a book about presidential deception.

Last week, Lewis also spoke to approximately 600 high school students on the topic of the presidency and the media, and earlier this week, he spoke to 25 international journalists in a State Department-sponsored event about the history and impact of investigative reporting in the United States.
Lewis will moderate a panel at the NICAR conference in March and speak again at the IRE conference in June.
The NICAR conference in Jacksonville, Florida, will honor David Donald's work and life at a reception for the Phillip Meyer award winners on Friday, March 3. Donald himself was a multiple winner of this award.
Donald, data editor at the Workshop and a professor at American University's School of Journalism, died Dec. 10, 2016.
